“Pursing the Inner-Self”

The lens is like an eye to observe and create art, constantly recording the process of my thought in a split second of time.

We live in a time of a society that is rapidly progressing with multiple technologies and social media. Human beings are easily seduced and drowned in the swamp of technology, losing the direction of being themselves due to their ignorance of the real world outside.

My investigation is exploring how to find the balance in a constantly changing and pressured environment. How to maintain an independent ideology with the pressure in an impetuous society, whether it be from education, culture, relationship or economy. These images are inspired by my moods and feelings at different times after I have gathered all kind of positivities and negativities from my surroundings.

My aim is to present a process of “self-contradiction”.

My graduation exhibition will be held in Te Auaha Gallery.
